Installation Through Wordpress


You can upload and install your theme through the wordpres interface.
NOTE: The premium version is usually too large to upload through the interface. Please see the uploading through FTP tutorial.
  1. Login To the Wordpress Admin panel.
  2. Go To The Appearance Tab.
  3. Click "Add New Themes".
  4. Click The "Upload" link.
  5. Click the "Browse" button.
  6. Find your downloaded zip file.
  7. Click OK
  8. Click the "Install Now" button.
  9. Click the "Activate" link.
  10. You're Done!

Installation Through FTP


You can upload and install your theme through your favorite FTP client.
For more instructions on what FTP is and how to use FTP, please: To upload your theme via ftp:
  1. Unzip your theme.
  2. Open your ftp.
  3. Connect To your host.
  4. Inside your wordpress folder, go to wp-content>>themes.
  5. Upload Your folder to the themes folder.
  6. Go to your wordpress admin panel.
  7. Go to the Themes Section under the Appearance tab.
  8. Click the Activate link under the Cool Ryan Easy Squeeze Light Theme.
  9. You're Done!

Adding Headlines


Headlines are bold red and show up on all pages. Also, if no headline is specified, it will not show up.

In order to add a headline:
  1. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under "Appearances"
  2. Add your headline under the headlines area.
  3. Click Save.
  4. You're Done!

Adding Taglines


Taglines are bold and show up on all pages. Also, if no tagline is specified, it will not show up.

In order to add a tagline:
  1. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under "Appearances"
  2. Add your tagline under the taglines area.
  3. Click Save.
  4. You're Done!

Adding Content


Content is added via posts. All posts up to the amount specified in wordpress will show up. The title of the posts will not show up, nor will any of the other metadata. No tags, categories, or other extra info will show up.

In order to add content via posts:
  1. Go to the Posts Section.
  2. Click on either Edit Post, or Add New Post.
  3. Type Your Post Content, (The title, while not visible, is good for organizing your post content, so type a title as well).
  4. Click on Publish.
  5. You're Done!

Adding Autoresponder Code


Cool Ryan Easy Squeeze works with all autoresponder code. For more info on autoresponders, go to: Wikipedia: Autoresponders

To Add Your Autoresponder:
  1. Grab Your autoresponder from your autoresponder service, (they will have instructions on this).
  2. Go to the Squeeze Page Options Page under Appearance in The Wordpress Admin Panel
  3. Paste Your code into the autoresponder code section.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You're Done!

Adding Footer Pages


Footer pages are pages that show up at the bottom of your squeeze page. It is usually pages like Contact Us, About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, etc.
PPC programs such as Google Adwords usually require these types of pages in order to participate in their programs.

Footer Pages are Wordpress Pages, added via the Pages Tab.
In order to add footer pages:
  1. Add your pages through the Wordpress admin section.
  2. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under "Appearances."
  3. Check the checkboxes you want to add to the footer section.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You're Done!

Setting Up A Thank You Page


Thank you pages are the pages that are shown to the visitor who opts in to your list. This is usually where the thank you text or a free download is included. This thank you page is usually used in conjuction with your autoresponder. For more info, look up your autoresponder's specific options.
A Thank You Page is not displayed in the footer pages. It also uses the conversion tracking code.

To designate a thank you page:
  1. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under the Appearances Tab.
  2. Make sure your thank you page is unchecked in the footer pages section.
  3. Click on the radio button next to the page you wish to have as a thank you page.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You're Done!

Enabling Comments


Comments are used the squeeze page theme as questions to show real interaction between you and your visitors. They show up on pages and not on the home page unless you configure a static page in the wordpress settings.

To enable Comments:
  1. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under the Appearances Tab.
  2. Click on the radio button next to enable comments.
  3. Click Save.
  4. You're Done!

Adding Tracking Code


Tracking code is used to track your visitors actions across your squeeze page. It tracks your visitor count, how long they were on your site, etc. Google Analytics is an exmaple. For more on web analytics, go to: Wikipedia: Web Analytics.

The tracking code in your squeeze page will be displayed on all pages except the thank you page when conversion tracking is present.

In order to add tracking code to your squeeze page:
  1. Copy your tracking code from your analytics provider.
  2. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under the Appearances Tab.
  3. Paste the code into the footer page code section.
  4. Click save.
  5. You're Done!

Adding Conversion Tracking Code


Conversion tracking code is an advanced tracking method to see how many visitors have opted in to your autoresponder. It will track when a lead has reached the thank you page. It is only used on the designated thank you page for your squeeze page.

If no conversion tracking is present, the regular tracking code is used.

In order to install conversion tracking code:
  1. Copy the conversion tracking code from your analytics or PPC provider
  2. Go to the Squeeze Page Options page under the Appearances Tab.
  3. Paste the code into the Thank You Page Footer Code Section.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You're Done!
